The mobile Finnish Seismic Instrument Pool FINNSIP

FINNSIP is a research infrastructure managed by a consortium of four Universities and a Research institution, and hosted at the University of Helsinki.
With this pool, consortium members can conduct domestic and international collaborative projects of temporary deployments to enhance data-driven subsurface and environmental applications.
Projects can last from a few days to a few years.

Since the creation of the pool in 2021, FINNSIP provided instruments to more than 40 projects.

The University of Helsinki hosts and coordinates the mobile Finnish Seismic Instrument Pool (FINNSIP). It coordinates the practicalities of the buildup and operation of the Seismic Instrument Pool in collaboration and under the guidance of the owners of the instruments and the Steering Group.
